Problem in the backend

ISSUE SUMMARY:
1. Error message in the backend.. I should I fix that?



2. So Slow.. when I clic in the left menu:
"configuración, Privacidad" or in english"configuration, Privacy"
And after the wait time.. it shows this error:


STEPS TO REPLICATE:
1 Login in the backend
2 Go to the jomsocial backend
3 Configuration
4 Privacy

Hi,

that issue because your sever seem blocking some IP or XML file or fopen.
please try this solution:

try to find it around line 144

In that topic says that its a temporaly solution... I have to modify the core of jomsocial.. it should be affected when I update my jomsocial....

how can I have a permanent solution?

Hi,

for permanent solution the fix need to be done at server side.
that jomsocial code calling this URL

http://www.jomsocial.com/jomsocial.xml
by using php CURL and simpleXML functions. but in some reason your server doesn't allow to read that URL.

so my assumption, your server blocking some IP or else.

please asking your hosting provider about it.

Yes.. thats true.. we have blocked all outcoming connections...

what IPs should I add to my whitelist? do you have differents static IPs? its important, because if you have a load balancer or something like that... we need to add all the IP adresses

Why you put that remote IP? it could be changed in future versions of jomsocial? to be in the source code of my website?(included in the component that I install)

that IP for that URL is: 36.86.63.180

that URL to let system know, what latest version of jomsocial currently.
