ISSUE SUMMARY: Upgrading to 4.15, but got stuck in the middle of the process on "preparing database" (please see pic in attachment). I am aware of similar threads here, but hesitate to delete menus and components as instructed in the post, because this is a live site with around 11000 members.

STEPS TO REPLICATE:
1 login to admin
2 click on Jomsocial - it is stuck at installer
3 click on "install"
4 the process stops at "preparing database"

Hi, NIck.

It seems that you have server error: i.prntscr.com/27a8df69e73a43f89eed54434da3d7b3.png

Too many keys specified; max 64 keys allowed SQL=ALTER TABLE `oslr4_community_users` ADD INDEX ( `alias`)

Please, contact with your hosting provider and mention about error above.

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

Hi Michal,
I have set up another server (with a different host) to test the site and it is throwing the same error. I am using KloxoMr on both servers.
Do you think it is the VPS provider or Kloxo causing the issue?

Hi Michal,
I have contacted the tech support guys and here is the answer I got:

Hi Nicholas,
It appears to be an issue with the plugin queries and no errors reported at the server logs, however I can see that the InnoDB support is disabled the server.
MariaDB [(none)]> show engines;
| Engine | Support | Comment | Transactions | XA | Savepoints |
| InnoDB | NO | Percona-XtraDB, Supports transactions, row-level locking, and foreign keys | NULL | NULL | NULL |
Please have a check with the concerned plugin support and let us know if there is any modifications need to be done at the server level.

Cheers
Nick

Hi Nick,

The installation is done now.. this issue caused by index parameter was too much on our community table, so we need it to delete them manually :)

thank you!

Thank you for your help. In case it happens again, can you please tell me where in the database I should look and how to correct this?
Thanks
Nick
