Jomsocial no longer processes videos, remain stuck in pending

ISSUE SUMMARY:
For quite a while, Jomsocial no longer processes videos. They remain stuck in pending.

STEPS TO REPLICATE:
1 upload video on Jomsocial homepage

RESULT
You receive a message that Jomsocial is now processing the video and will notify you when it's done. That messsage never occurs. The video remains pending.

Please, check your FFMPEG path - contact with your hosting support maybe they did changed something in library recently?
Also ask about FFMPEG version.


- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you

The hosting firm has come back with this information:

We have installed FFmpeg for you,
root@ded23879 [/usr/local/src]# /usr/local/bin/ffmpeg
FFmpeg version SVN-r26402, Copyright (c) 2000-2011 the FFmpeg developers

SVN-r26402 is too old to process JomSocial videos. Please, contact your hosting provider and ask them to upgrade to latest version. This issue was explained many times on forum...

I've paid my hosting firm to compile and install the latest ffmpeg software but it made no difference. I have double-checked the path and it is set correctly in Jomsocial.

Hi,

at php cofiguration there is disabled functions.
for video converting at least one of the following functions ('passthru', 'exec', 'shell_exec', 'system') must be enabled.

The hosting firm have come back to me saying that ('passthru', 'exec', 'shell_exec', 'system') have now all been enabled, however the videos remain stuck in "pending" mode. They asked me to you ask jomsocial for the error message on this now?

please check it. I cant find any videos at covert list. seem the videos has been converted.

You are right. They are gone now. Maybe I checked to early after the hosting firm made changes in the settings. Many thanks for helping to get this problem resolved.
