ISSUE SUMMARY:
I purchased JomSocial Supercharged, and can not download it to our domain (kaptured.net.) I purchased the domain name via NameCheap. I am a COMPLETE rookie at this, so please explain step by step how to install our software so that it can be used on this domain. I have tried to unzip the files via Winzip, and it unzips to empty folders. Thank you so much for your help!

Thank you so much for your quick response! I contacted the site I registered the domain through, and this is the message they sent me:

Unfortunately, your domain name is not connected with your Hosting account yet, it means that it will not resolve into your web-site. Anyway the instructions on how to point your domain to your Hosting should be received from your Hosting provider (it can be the nameservers or an IP-address of your server). Once the get the instructions from them (the nameservers or an IP-address) you should get back to us and configure everything on our end.

Can you help with this by providing the nameservers or IP address they need? Hopefully that will solve the problem..

Also, where do I find my FTP access, is that going to be on the information I receive from them as well?

I am sorry the server configuration is beyond our support. I suggest you contact your sys-admin and ask them to setup everything and install Joomla on it.

Thank you for your patience, Amber. As I can see, the domain is still using our default nameservers and is not connected with Jomsocial.

Probably there was some misunderstanding with them, since they should have provided you with the details required to connect the domain with them on our end.

These should be either an IP address or their custom nameservers to point the domain to.

To my regret, I am not quite aware of the issue you faced with your hosting provider, Amber. All we have on our end is the domain, and we do not have access to your hosting settings.

However I would like to assure you that when configure hosting for your domain, software compatibility is not affected by domain extension.

You can host whatever domain name with your third-party host. It does not matter if it is a .com or .net or anything else.

There is no technical difference for hosting providers regarding different TLD's.

I'm not sure if this provides more clarity. I am not asking for full server configuration, they have provided me step by step instructions to direct the domain to the hosting site once I obtain the nameservers or custom ip address. Is this not something you are able to provide me with?

We figured out the problem I believe. I, for whatever reason, thought you all were the host... I told you I'm new to this :( I have updated the hosting info and will try to download again once they let me know it's set up.. fingers crossed it works. Thank you again for your patience and help!
