ISSUE SUMMARY:
I wish to install a phpBB discussion board and a media wiki within my site.
Just checking: are there any known conflicts between Jomsocial and the above.
I assume it should be okay: if they have their own folder: but in the same domain name area of the host site.

Hi, Phil.

As far I understand... both of them are separated system - not installed in Joomla!. So they doesn't share anything... have nothing in common. So no - no conflicts are even possible :)

Just an advise - don't install them in the same folder as Joomla. Every new system should have separated folder on server. If they share folder e.g you create folder for them in Jooomla! main folder (where configuration.php resides) it may lower your systems security as one breach give access to all 3 systems. but it's up to you ;)

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you
