Forgot password is not working

ISSUE SUMMARY:


STEPS TO REPLICATE:
1 try to login or simply hit the ? mark after the password field in the top of the socialize template. I entered a good email address for the user ant the component returns me back to registration ?
Please advise

I understand it is a Joomla issue but I have no clue where to look

I created menu item that points to "Reset password" page and that fixes your issue :)

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

somthing is messed up it seems we can not even prove any pages from the front end every link sends you to home page but the url sas different and there is no error mesage the signup link does not work at all
Please advise. I am in a bit of trouble here.

I needed to close the site down and put the akaaba backup on. I then set up the backup file on rainbowrv.org as a test server. I will do the development there. I did notice one thing that my php was 5.3x I since made it 5.4 and can go to 5.5 if needed. i will respond to this issue again if it comes back up
