After upgrading to 4.1, it's not possible anymore to register. The process always stays at step 1. I did make a menu item for the JS registration, in a hidden menu, but this doesn't help either.
Hi,
your site using cloudflare, please turn off any script optimizer from the cloudflare and the template or plugins if any.
here the solution:
www.jomsocial.com/forum/profile-universa...-login-falied#140003
blog.cloudflare.com/cloudflare-tips-trou...oting-common-proble/
Regards
I had answered, but my answer disappeared? Weird. OK, let me type it all in again...
Thanks, but login works fine. It's just the registration that's stuck at step 1.
Even weirder, when I access my domain directly, i.e. when I go to the registration page on
direct.domain.com/...register
... ,
I keep being redirected to the (Cloudflare) front page:
domain.com/
. This does not happen for
direct.domain.com/index.php?option=com_community
. No idea where that redirect comes from.
Also, i've been using this setup of Cloudflare without problems so far, but that is no guaranteed of course.
OK, I was able to get the Cloudflare bypass working again, and obviously it has nothing to do with Cloudflare. Please try
http://direct......com/index.php?option=com_community&view=register&Itemid=36
for my domain and you'll see that it still keeps hanging at registration step 1. No Cloudflare involved...
Please help urgently - I'm losing business here.
help please?
Hi,
please open registration page and view page source. that page still containing
jQuery 1.8, latest jomsocial version must using jQuery 1.11.
seem that jQuery from old module. if you cant find it. please edit your first post at this topic. and put credentials information at site info form (private), I need to find that jQuery.
Regards
That was a nice idea, thanks. I upgraded jQuery now, from 1.8.3 to 1.11.3, but it didn't help. Still can't get past step 1.
Hi,
I still found:
http://[site domain]/templates/playak20132/jquery.js
http://[site domain]/cdn-cgi/nexp/dok3v=1613a3a185/cloudflare/rocket.js
ajax.cloudflare.com/cdn-cgi/nexp/dok3v=e...6a/cloudflare.min.js
please try to remove that jquery from site template. not sure what it is. and try to completely turn off cloudflare. because cloudflare js still loaded.
if still stuck, you can send me FTP and joomla super user access detail to my email: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. (I cant find credentials information at this topic)
Regards
That's not related. It's just an old jquery file lying on the server, but it's not being used at all.
Also, to rule out Cloudflare problems, you should try this bypassing Cloudflare, i.e. not try it on
http://[site domain]
but on
http://direct.[site domain]
Wait, you're right, I'm loading both JQ 1.11.3 , and that old one. Let me see if I can fix that.
Hi,
if still cant fix it. please send me super user access detail + FTP access detail for debugging purpose to my email: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
and let me know how to access administrator page, at my end your site administrator page got blank page.
Regards
Hmm, that can't be it either. It's part of the template, and all it does is backup the already loaded jQuery 1.11.3, load its own jQuery and uses that to do what it needs to do, and then it restores jQuery 1.11.3 :
<script type="text/javascript">if ('undefined' != typeof jQuery) document._artxJQueryBackup = jQuery;</script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="/templates/playak20132/jquery.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript">jQuery.noConflict();</script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="/templates/playak20132/script.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript">if (document._artxJQueryBackup) jQuery = document._artxJQueryBackup;</script>
Found it! It was caused by a custom plugin that triggered a onUserBeforeSave() method, which used to work fin with the old version, but it messed things up with JS 4.1. I'll try to rewrite that plugin from scratch.
So it was not a problem of JomSocial at all! Neither had it anything to do with a version of jQuery, or with using Cloudflare....
Thanks,
Jeroen
