Hi,

Just upgraded to 4.1.

We use JCE editor, include Jomsocial - groups, events etc.

The current editor is very simple and doesn't support RTL (Hebrew).

Hi, Udi.

We deprecated feature of 3rd party editor in rich text fields as it was causing many issues.
I'll report your issue to our developers (that editor doesn't support RTL).

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you

Hi Michal,

We use it for events and groups - discussion, announsement, bulletin.

Activities JS by default.

Due to the fact users deal with K2 items - IMHO 1 normal editor is fine.

We had no issues till now relating the editor.

It's quite urgent for us - cannot publish.

Udi

Hi Michal.

First - it works - thank you.

But it avoids functionality !!

We need the LTR/RTL selector as other editors do - see attached.

Some of the members follow the local lanuage but writing in English, professional info mainly.

Could you add it to your editor?

regards,

Udi

Hi Michal,

The link you asked me to post to is for ideas.

It's nice but it is not an idea !!!

There is less functionality !!!

Please let us use the JCE as before.
Meanwhile we cannot work normally.

Udi

Hi, Udi.

I'm sorry but this is feature request.
Using JCE in JomSocial rich text fields will cause issues as JCE was designed to support ARTICLES editor.

Hi Michal,

Thank you for your reply.

JCE or any other editor, supports RTL option, is fine.

Currently JS does not provide LTR/RTL option - depends on the Default lang.
It is crucial for us.

That's the reason to our discussion - it's missing feature that was available till now !!!

If it is feature request, it can take long time ... and we need that option now.

Please advise.

Hi, Udi.

I repeat JCE was designed to work for articles. Using it in any 3rd party extension cause issues.
We decided to deprecate support of 3rd party WYSIWYG editors in JomSocial to avoid issues.
I agree that it may lack many features comparing with JCE.
But only I could suggest it to request such a feature.. or hire own developer to implement it.
I'm sorry but introducing new features is out of scope our technical support.

Hi Michal,

I may not express myself well.

JCE IS NOT the issue ... RTL/LTR option is the issue.

Please provide any minimal editor that supports it, as JS says it supports that feature.
Request is a new need. It is not the situation here.

Please ask your team to accomplish that option.

Udi

Hi, Udi.

WYSIWYG editor in JomSocial does support RTL language as we fixed reported bug.
Whet the issue here is lack of "LTR/RTL selector".
So it's just a lack of additional feature.
Then you're requesting a new feature.

I'll ask our developer of this is something easy to add.. if no - you'll need to create request feature post like I asked you before.
