Welcome the Technical Support section. Help us in assisting you by providing us with a concise and descriptive elaboration of your issues. Be specific and if possible, provide us with a step-by-step instruction in replicating your problem.
ISSUE SUMMARY:
When a new member registers, there is no notification email to the admin. I have searched your forum. Found soms solutions, but none worked for me. The email doesn't get stuck in the spam folder, I have the admin notification parameter on 'yes'. I receive all other notifications from Jomsocial, but just not the registration notification. What can I do? (By the way, the new user gets all notifications)
STEPS TO REPLICATE:
1 Register as a new member
2 Check your admin emailbox

RESULT nothing, no email for admin
EXPECTED RESULT notification email to admin email adress
BROWSER Mozilla Firefox
Admin will not receive notification emails about new registration when you set "New User Account Activation" to "none" or "Self" (like you have set now). Admin will receive notification only if you change it to "Admin".
- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.
- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you
Thank you for your reply. I would like the user to activate their new accounts themselves, but then I would like to get a notification when the have registered, so that I know a new member has arrived.
I apologize as I was wrong. Took a deeper look at your issue. Yes, it's possible to have new user registration email notification possible.
You just need to enable option to receive system emails in Joomla! SU/admin account. I did it right now and it works.
