Welcome the Technical Support section. Help us in assisting you by providing us with a concise and descriptive elaboration of your issues. Be specific and if possible, provide us with a step-by-step instruction in replicating your problem.
ISSUE SUMMARY:
I have an issue in jomsocial frontpage (index.php?option=com_community&view=frontpage&Itemid=961), I have a running site
newartistexpo.com/community
with active users. We found blank frontpage and after some debugged I found it is something problem in number of activity so I changed the setting 20 to 100 now I found some activities shown in front page. The issue is number of activity in setting and visible in frontpage is different.
STEPS TO REPLICATE:
1. count the number of activities in frontpage (
newartistexpo.com/community
)
2. Note: number of activities in setting is 50, Configuration > Layout > Frontpage Activity Stream > Frontpage Activities
Please check with changing the value.
RESULT, less number of activities in frontpage than setting.
EXPECTED RESULT, same number of activities in both Setting and frontpage
BROWSER, Google chrome, firefox.
Hmm... I'll need access to your site database and check activity states.
Please, edit your first post here and provide db credentials.
- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.
- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you
