ISSUE SUMMARY:
New users cannot register, they get this error "Session expired. Please try again later". This happens since we updated to latest version.
STEPS TO REPLICATE:
Just go to http://.doctoralnet.com/index.php?option=com_community&view=register and try to register.
RESULT: Session expired. Please try again later
EXPECTED RESULT: to be able to register new users

Hi,

try to changing the session setting at joomla global configuration:
set session lifetime to 15
session handler to database or none
turn off joomla cache

or try to unpublish System - Cache plugin
