Upgrading to and Looking for 2.8.x - Help Please!

I can't seem to find it...

Please pardon if my questions or issues seem rather basic, but as you'll probably tell from my questions, my knowledge of JomSocial is rather limited:

I am currently running a site with Joomla 2.5.28. and JomSocial 2.6.3. I am attempting to upgrade both Joomla and JomSocial to the latest versions. I've managed to update both to their current levels, following the "tier" method suggested at documentation.jomsocial.com/wiki/Updatin...d_JomSocial_Versions

I have tried to find the Installer referenced at documentation.jomsocial.com/wiki/IJoomla_Installer , however, there is nothing there, it says coming soon, and I'm sure that is old information. I've also searched the JomSocial site, and I can't find anywhere to dowload 2.8.x to attempt a manual install.

Any help or suggestions? Thank you in advance

Hi, Keith.

As you're on Joomla! 2.5.x.x you may start to use iJoomla Installer. So you don't need older versions of jomSocial anymore.
Browse here: www.jomsocial.com/component/digistore/licenses
Download latest version of JomSocial.
Unzip package.
And inside you'll find iJoomla Installer.
Make a backup copy of your site and db.
Install iJoomla Installer via Joomla! installer... and proceed ;)

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.
