ISSUE SUMMARY:
I am currently running a site using Joomla 2.5.28. I want to upgrade to Joomla 3.4.1. I am also running JomSocial 2.4.2 and would like to upgrade to 4.0.7. For a variety of reasons, I would like to use a clean, fresh install of Joomla 3.4.1 rather than doing the upgrades. Is there a way to install a fresh copy of Joomla 3.4.1 and JomSocial 4.07 and still retain (use) the data that I am currently using in the older version? Essentially linking to, or moving the existing data/database to the new version of Joomla/JomSocial?

Yes, I am also using PayPlans with the JomSocial Module and would like to do the same thing, again, installing a clean, fresh up to date PayPlans Install.

Any advice or assistance you can provide would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hi, keith.

The only solution then will be to use this extension: extensions.joomla.org/extension/jomsocial-user-import-export Export users, move user files to new installation. You must contact with PayPlans developer regarding PP migration and if mentioned extension will also do the job for their app.

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.
