Im using JomSocial on a german site.
On my JS 'Home' page 'JS Members', 'JS Whois Online' and other module titles are not translated.
On the same pages goup listing the tilte says: '{multiple}{actors}{/multiple}{single}{actor}{/single}'

On my edit profile Page there are some errors. People cant fill the form.

The german word for event is "Veranstaltung". Its not translated correctly.

in the filebox it says 'select file...' Again no translation. Ot should say: 'Bitte Datei auswählen ...'

There is bo translation on the Homeage editing view.

And klicking on on any of the app buttons the app descriptions arn't translated to.

All of this is in firefox.

First make sure that German translation pack for JomSocial is right for your JS version and if it's updated.

1. Plugin titles could be translated using Joomla! language override feature;

2. Please, describe your issue with details and post a printscreen. "Some errors" doesn't say us much ;)

3. Again, to fix it you may correct it directly in language file located in:

ROOT/languages/your-language-code/de-DE.com_community.ini

4. Same as before - please, use language override feature to translate this.

5. Same as above.
Or use Joomla! language override feature - what is recommended.



Just search for certain title in ENGLISH then copy language constant and create override for GERMAN.

As you can see on the screenshot dropdown listbox for the birthay seems to be corrupt. I reinstaled, but the problem still remains.

Your issue is caused by 3rd party extensions. Your site loads jQuery few times: one from Joomla! second from mod_awesome_social_links_sidebar. Please, try to disable that module. If that doesn't solve your issue, please do a test and switch your current template to Joomla! default one.

Your issue with {multiple}{actors}{/multiple}{single}{actor}{/single} is also caused by outdated language file.

but both of this did not work. I deleted mod_awesome_social_links_sidebar ans switched back to the Joomla defaut template, but the problem still remains. Nothing changed.

We'll need developer to look a it. But in this thread you've merged few issues... most of them are solved.
So to avoid any confusion, please, open new thread with issue details, printscreen (the same you've posted here).
Remember to add FTP and PHPmyAdmin credentials.

Overriding strings does not work on a lot of text.
On www.keysha.info/homepage/mitmachen/meine...eine-startseite.html (see js4.png in Attatchments) I cant change the titles "JS Quick Search", "JS Events" ... because they seem to be hard coded. I also cant find them in the language manager.

On the same page (see js5.png) I cant change "gefällt ein", because these two words are not one phrase but two seperate words. Thats no problem in english, but in german it should "gefällt eine Gruppe" with groups and sometimes e.g. "gefällt ein Video" with Videos. I could also change it to "gefällt ein(e)" for all, but it still needs to be one phrase that cn be found by the system. Also there is no space between "Yanco" and the rest of the text,

Please also hae a look at js6.png. I managed to change {multiple}{actors}{/multiple}{single}{actor}{/single} as you told me. But changing the string didnt replace the word "haben" witch is totally wrong in this context. It should readin singular "Reinhold ist der Gruppe beigetreten." In Plural "Reinhold und 2 Andere sind der Gruppe beigetreten." I could change it to "ist/sind der Gruppe beigetreten." But there is no use of the word haben here, and I cant delete it.

Here is anoter problem I cant change. (see js8.jpg). There should be spaces between the words and it should say "Tinchen und 2 Anderen gefällt Romy's Profil." No "haben" again.
"Gruppe" always is with capital letter. (see js7.png)

They are not hardcoded... they are just modules titles. Change them while you edit module.

All of it are language file issues. All mistakes could be fixed by correct translation of language file or Joomla! language override.
