ISSUE SUMMARY:

I installed jomsocial standard edition then realised i needed the professional edition if i have to make my idea more original so i upgraded from standard to professional, I still cant get the frontpage to display display even after selecting the template from jomsocial administrative panel..

Hi,

On Joomla Main menu, edit your home menu item, and set it to Jomsocial home page. I will sove your issue :)
