If you wanna to avoid the popup you should disbale the ajax function, please try to change the Jomsocial configuration and disable "Auto Refresh" setting.

I see, this issue is coming from this module "mod_dm_activitystream" which this module is not respected the Jomsocial auto refresh configuration, that module is not our official module, that module created by this developer deeemm.com/
