1. Please let me how long it will be fully supported by your team without asking me to upgrade to latest version #4?

2. Does JomSocial upgrade (from ver. 3.2.1.5 to the latest ver. 4.0.1) affect JomSocial core files?

1. Support for old version is very limited, I am sorry for that.. to know our support scope please read more information here www.jomsocial.com/support-policy , we really suggest you to update your Jomsocial to the latest version so you will get the full support from us

2. yes it will be effected, all new codes will be removed with the newest one.

You can use ijoomla installer, and click "Upgrade" from there.

Dont forget to backup you data first.

Go to "My Account" page www.jomsocial.com/component/digistore/licenses and download Jomsocial package from there, in that package you can get ijoomla installer, or you can install with Jomsocial package directly.

I don't want to install full Jomsocial package from the scratch as I already made a lot of customizations in JomSocial ver. 3.2.1.5 I am currently running.

Did I understand correctly that if I install ijoomla installer on my JomSocial ver. 3.2.1.5 I will be able to upgrade JomSocial ver. 3.2.1.5 to JomSocial ver, 4.0.2? Correct?

Ah I see, yes it correct, but if you upgrade to version 4.0.2 your customizations will be removed, and the code will replaced with the newest one and you should re-apply your hacks.

Multiple language wont be lost, but for translation constant I suggest you move it to override translation docs.joomla.org/J3.x:Language_Overrides_in_Joomla so it wont be lost if you update Jomsocial
