Jomsocial 4.01 : error 404 after upgrading

ISSUE SUMMARY:
- So, i restore my site on a second DNS with Akeeba backup, no problem. After that, i follow the steps to apply Jomsocial upgrade 4.01, then Isocialize 2.0, without any problem.
- Now, when I try to enter in Jomsocial the result is following : error 404, component not found
Error message (in french) :
Une erreur est survenue pendant l'exécution de la requête.
Vous ne pouvez pas visiter cette page car :
bookmark/favori périmé
une adresse erronée
Un moteur de recherche possède un listing périmé pour ce site
vous n'avez pas accès à cette page

Hi Eric,

This is now fixed for you, here is what you may need to do if during an upgrade or install / reinstall

The Joomla menus loose the component ID the way to fix this is go to the jomsocial toolbar menu in admin open each menu and then press save and close. this re points Joomla back to the component. This is a limitation in Joomla and is rather easy to fix with this method

Hi Paul,

Sorry, but my problem is unfortunately not fixed.

I try to assign community to the main menu "Réseau social" : impossible ? so what choice after that ? i don't understand where to point the menu ?

I tried with homepage of Jomsocial, but it's impossible to login.

Please provide us working administrator credentials.
I can't login to your site backend.
Please, edit your first post and add credentials to corresponding fields.


- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

Hi Michal,

I just check, credentials are correct on my Test/devolpment site, problem is here, on this site with Jomsocial 4 and Isocialize 2.

For an unknown reason, the menu was locked. I didn't remark it.

Problem is now solved.
