I have two small problems with JS 4 and joomla 3.4.
- Can not change cover (user, groups...). The cover seems to change, but it does not saved when we refresh the page.
2- members Can not read messages (with error message: You do not have permission to view this resource. Please contact the Site Administrator). It seem like acces problem, but i dont find any thing to cause that...

I look at all the levels of access , I put all the elements of menu at public, I switsh to no SEF(original) , more Install / Uninstall ... no ... Results

its real strange issue. seem any 3rd party plugins override some jomsocial DB.

can I download your site? i need do deep debugging at locally. because can damaging your site.

I noticed that the user can read the old messages (before 4.0) but not the new messages.
I add you exemple from simple user with the old messages ( in private info). You may clic display all messages and choise the oldest.

I add you link to site test (i take full backup on my server, you can play on it as you like).

please turn off System - FaLang Database Driver plugin.
this plugin causing the issue on after save event for the jomsocial message.

after turned off, you can try to sending the message again. it will not error anymore. but damaged messages can not be recovered.
