Welcome the Technical Support section. Help us in assisting you by providing us with a concise and descriptive elaboration of your issues. Be specific and if possible, provide us with a step-by-step instruction in replicating your problem.
Hai all,
Can any one help me what is the use of multiprofile in administrator login.
What is the use of Multiprofile.
How we can integrate with our project
"The JomSocial multi-profile feature allows administrators to setup different types of profiles on the site. " So you could create different types of profiles e.g Football player, Rugby player. Both of them could have different profile fields and icon on avatar.
- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.
- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you
Thanks a lot for prompt response! Sorry for not framing the question correctly. How do we implement it in application. In your example, we have a rugby player and soccer player, we would like to provide an option to select rugby or soccer while registering so that we can present the profile fields as appropriate. With the documentation you pointed, we understand we can create multiple types of profile, now we would like to know how a user can be provided with an option to select the profile type.
Scenario:
1. User Registers
2. User picks a profile type Rugby or Soccer ---How do we implement it?
3. User is presented with profile selected to fill the appropriate information
1. Create multiprofiles e.g "Rugby" and "Soccer"
2. In Customize Profile create fields that you need for each profile
3. Browse back to Multiprofile, edit certain and assign necessary fields to profile.
That's all when user will register, after initial step (Joomla! mandatory fields) will be asked to choose profile (radio button fields). Then after confirmation, on next page proper fields will be displayed.
