Pic Uploading not working- Unable to upgrade to latest version
Hello- We are the web development company that manages this site. It has it's own JomSocial account that you can look up (with an active subscription).
Our problem is simple- we are unable to install the current version. When we try it gives us these errors:
Warning
JFolder::create: Could not create directoryPath: /home/c3drespa
Warning: Failed to move file!
JFolder: :files: Path is not a folder. Path: /home/c3drespa/public_html/3dayold/tmp/install_54bca74d8bef3

You will see admin login above. This is a Joomla 3 site, and we need to isntall the latest version of JomSocial because the current version image upload is not working.
"JFolder::create: Could not create directoryPath: /home/c3drespa
Warning: Failed to move file!"
Indicates server chmod or chown misconfiguration.
Files can't be moved or folders can't be created due lack of writing rights.
If site is not online yet - I can't check it myself. But you need to check what chmod and chown rights are set in server.
Please, contact with your hosting provider.
Or if site is on localhost, check your system chmod/chown.
- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.
- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you
