Im planning to uninstalling joomla and jomsocial plugins and extensions that Im not using right now to make my site a little bit faster. Im also getting rid of 3rd party plugins. I know that I could reinstall a 3rd party plugin.
But my concern is with extension for jomsocial and joomla. If I uninstall any of those unused extension or plugin, could I reinstall them latter if I decide to use them?
Is it posible to find out what kind of server and specs you use to run jomsocial and socialize demo site?
My site is growing fast and I need to start planning to move to another server with more capacity and speed.
Yes, if you uninstall plugins, you could install them later. Installing Joomla! plugin may be tricky as they doesn't exist as a installation packages - but you always may copy thei folders from installation package to your filesystem (via FTP) and use discover feature in Joomla!.
But you don't have to uninstall them - disabling them in Extension manager should be enough. Joomla will not load any file from disabled extension (at least it shouldn't).
To run fas community you need at least meet system requirements:

As for other server qualities - higher = better. It depends how much money you'd like to invest.
I don't know what server we use for demo as technical support stuff dis not involved in any server operations.
- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.
- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you
