I recreate my site because my current one is blocked somehow. So everything went well using the tool SF Transfer almost all tables are over on the new site.

Jomsocial is also installed but importing the data/tables is an issue. Importing tables results in all kinds of errors. The db is quite large with 28,000 users so the process often stops while indicating db errors.

What would you recommend for this process? What is the best way to do this?

This is depend your server, and if your server is not good enough to execute the large query you will see the error during the importing/exporting, I suggest you contact your sys-admin for this.

I will share my personal experienced when importing the huge DB, usually I split the importing.. eg I only import per 10 tables, or per count records ( I import from id 1 to 1000, and continue id 1001 to 2000), indeed this will waste the time, I suggest you hire the 3rd party developer for this method.
