Do the joomla lang var works in mass messaging text area?
If doesn't there is a way to use the lang var in that text area?

by default mass messaging not support multi languages. but you can try this code:
/administrator/components/com_community/controllers/messaging.php at line 36

$title = JText::_(strip_tags($title));
$message = JText::_(strip_tags($message));

are you sure Jtext would work?
Jtext simply will retrieve my language, not user language, so it will send email in my language.

you are right, with JText only retrieve admin language it self. mass email still not support multi languages yet.
