JomSocial Active iSEO Expired Socialize Expired

Hi,
I just installed Jomsocial and throughout the application the buttons are display unrecognized characters instead of the actual titles. Looking at style.css, I am seeing a number of content: styles having unrecognized characters between the quotes. Screenshot attached.
