Footer positions share same css settings

Hi,
Joomla v3.3.3, JS v3.2.1.4, Socialize v1.2.8
we've set a menu at "Footer-1"position.
we've set a custom module, displaying our Copyrights, at the "Footer" position.
Then we've modified background-color like this :
.t3-copyright {
font-size: 12px;
padding: 40px 0 40px;
background-color: rgba(0,0,0,0.5);} /*transparency*/
Result is the attached file #1. Works fine.
Now if set a background-color for :
.t3-footer {
background-color:#fc1e3b;}
Result is the attached file #2
We were expecting to have this color applied only to "Footer" position not on both footer positions ("Footer-1" & "Footer")
Is there a way to separate css settings for each footer position if so how can it be achieved ?

Cheers,
L

Hi.

#t3-footer is parent element for .t3-copyright and you declared background-color: rgba(0,0,0,0.5) for child elements - it has transparency so you'll see a parent element background color through it. Just don't use transparency for child element.

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

Hi;
We're agree but we must use transparency for this part.
Is there any hack for dissociate .t3-copyright settings from t3-footer ?

Hi.

You'll need to rebuild template blocks... and they can't be overridden.. this means that every time you upgrade Socialize template, you'll need to restore your hacks.

Hi.

I think that this could be done even without fiddling with template core files. It depends what color should be under t3-copyright. I mean: if t3-copyright has transparency, what color or texture should be visible underneath?

Hi,
no color underneath, just transparency in order to see the background image. as you can see in our first attached file, first post.

Hi.

Taking t3-copyright out side t3-footer should help:

<footer id="t3-footer" class="wrap t3-footer">

  <!-- FOOT NAVIGATION -->
  <div class="container">
    <?php $this->spotlight ('footnav', 'footer-1, footer-2, footer-3, footer-4, footer-5, footer-6') ?>
    </div>
  <!-- //FOOT NAVIGATION -->

</footer>

  <section class="t3-copyright">
    <div class="container">
      <div class="row">
          <div class="<?php echo $this->getParam('t3-rmvlogo', 1) ? 'span8' : 'span12' ?> copyright<?php $this->_c('footer')?>">
              <jdoc:include type="modules" name="<?php $this->_p('footer') ?>" />
          </div>
          <?php if($this->getParam('t3-rmvlogo', 1)): ?>
              <div class="span4 poweredby">
                  <a class="t3-logo t3-logo-light" href="http://t3-framework.org" title="<?php echo JText::_('T3_POWER_BY_TEXT') ?>" target="_blank" <?php echo method_exists('T3', 'isHome') && T3::isHome() ? '' : 'rel="nofollow"' ?>><?php echo JText::_('T3_POWER_BY_HTML') ?></a>
              </div>
          <?php endif; ?>
      </div>
    </div>
  </section>
