Hi,
each time a user profile is displayed we've got the following error message in the firebug console :
ReferenceError: jQuery is not defined See the attached file in relation with.
It seems com_community is loading its own jQuery file. Why ?
Joomla core has already jQuery file.
Is there a way to switch off the following scripts ?, if so how ?:
/components/com_community/assets/joms.jquery-1.8.1.min.js
/components/com_community/assets/script-1.2.min.js
Cheers,
L
Hi.
No, you can't switch them off. JomSocial uses own version of modified jQuery.
You can rather disable loaded jQuery by using unset command like this:
<?php
unset($this->_scripts['/media/system/js/mootools-core.js']);
unset($this->_scripts['/media/jui/js/jquery.min.js']);
unset($this->_scripts['/media/jui/js/jquery-noconflict.js']);
unset($this->_scripts['/media/jui/js/jquery-migrate.min.js']);
unset($this->_scripts['/media/system/js/core.js']);
unset($this->_scripts['/media/system/js/mootools-more.js']);
unset($this->_scripts['/media/system/js/modal.js']);
?>
Michal,
thank you for your lights.
Would you mind to tell us where can we set this part of code ?
Cheers,
L
Hi.
In index.php file of your current template.
In Socialize (and other T3 framework based templates) add this code to:
ROOT/templates/socialize/tpls/blocks/header.php, right below: <!-- //META FOR IOS & HANDHELD -->
hi,
is it header.php or head.php ?
string <!-- //META FOR IOS & HANDHELD --> is only in head.php
So we've modified head.php, but there is no difference
we've applied:
<?php
unset($this->_scripts);
unset($this->_scripts);
unset($this->_scripts);
?>
No effect these scripts are still there, with the same path, even after clearing browser & web caches.
Did we miss something?
Cheers,
L
Hi.
It should be in head.php, right under last meta tag.
But... argghhh!:
<b>Notice</b>: Indirect modification of overloaded property T3Template::$_scripts has no effect in <b>/home/prolusatia/ftp/test/templates/socialize/tpls/blocks/head.php</b> on line <b>26</b><br />
T3 framework doesn't allow unset :/
OK, then try with Easy jQuery plugin. It should be able to DISABLE Joomla! native jQuery and mootools as well.
Ok, we'll try easy jquery and we keep you inform.
Cheers,
L
Hi,
issue solved by applying Easy jQuery plugin. Thank you
