How do I install FFMPEG in my server? And configure it?

Hi, I found these commands:

whereis ffmpeg
ffmpeg -version

And assuming they did not result in anything I have no FFMPEG installed in my server.

I didn't find good instllation manual or step by step guide to install FFMPEG.

¿Can you guys help me with this?
I can unzip the FFMPEG package I downloaded in a folder you tell me but I don't know if I have to just paste the files somewhere or run a yum -install command plus any configurations I should make within JomSocial to enable my server to save the videos in it.

Thanks.

Hi Dimas,

I had a glimpse though your link. Looks excellent, I think I'll manage with that.

I'll contact you, if, after having FFMPEG installed I can not change the configuration inside JomSocial to work with local videos instead of links.

Thanks.

Juan Enrique
