when i am adding an external link to the menu at the toolbar, i want that it will open in a new page, i am selecting the open in new page with/without navigation, but its opened at the same window.

why is that?

Sorry for my short reply.
What I should say as,
Toolbar is not traditional menu of joomla and is only used for solely adding the menu items to the toolbar.
We can not support all the features of standard joomla menus in toolbar.

It is the jomsocial toolbar. the menu of joomla work great. just the menu of the jomsocial isn't function.

Hi Amit,
Jomsocial toolbar menu items will not open with new window even if you have configured the menu item as such way ("Target Window=new window with navigation/new without navigation") from menu manager.
