Hi Jeff,

for that error, they are not fatal error but only php notice. you can hide it by changing joomla error reporting from developer to system default or none.

and about Jomsocial home page error that because the DB not fully update. please execute this query from phpmyadmin

ALTER TABLE `jass_community_activities` ADD `group_access` TINYINT( 4 ) NOT NULL DEFAULT '0' AFTER `eventid` ;
