I have a question about this upgrade process.

First issue is with the Ijoomla Installer

I have used this installer before and when I did it created SEVERAL items in the "Extensions Manager" that were incomplete and could not be deleted. I forgot what they were named

I do not want this to happen again, any suggestions on how to avoid this?

Hi, Joseph.

I', sorry, can't suggest you "how to avoid" things you failed to describe :) You must be very specific. WHAT was "created SEVERAL items in the "Extensions Manager""?? iJoomla installer doesn't create anything in Extension Manager. It just displays, what version of e.g JomSocial you have, what is current version, your license number and button to upgrade/override. it installs iJoomla extensions ONLY if you have valid license number and click on "Install" button. Then only selected extension is installed.

You can use it without any fear - just make a safe copy (what is recommended for most administration action in Joomla!).

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you
