JomSocial Expired

Hi there. In my social network users enter Spanish or English. Is there any way that the user can choose between two languages to access the network? Can the user change the language of the menus? I currently have installed files menus in English and Spanish, but how can the user choose?

Other question. Can I install two social networks at the same site? Can I install a network in English and one in Spanish, both in the same website?

Thank you.

Hi, Laura.

You need to set Joomla! in multilanguage mode. Please, read this:

www.templatemonster.com/help/joomla-3-x-...tilanguage-site.html
pl.scribd.com/doc/82768844/Joomla-2-5-mu...tensions-in-10-steps

Also you'll need to install other language packs for JomSocial.

Then you could use toolbar translation feature:

documentation.jomsocial.com/wiki/Translate_Toolbar

No, Joomla! will not allow you to install the same component twice. It will just overwrite existing one or display an error.
So there is only one Community but could be displayed in two (or more) languages... ofcourse contend created by users will be in user original language.

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you
