Hi There,

I'm having a problem with new registrations on my site.

I have looked at a previous post on a similar issue and tried the recommendations but they have now worked.

So this is what I have done so far:

- I first installed JS 3.1.1 and set everything up as needed. Tested the registration process and everything worked perfectly.
- Then I upgraded to the latest version - and now registration wont move past the first screen. When clicking the next button nothing happens.
- I then checked the forum and found another post with a similar problem and tried the suggestions there
-- re-intalled JS / still the same problem
-- emptied the database tables for registration and registration auth / no change
-- re-installed the older version again / still not fixed

My Joomla version is 3.3.0 and was from the start.
My Template is YouGrids - YjSimpleGrid framework.
I had a registration redirect plugin installed bu have disabled that as well with no success.

I don't know what I'm missing?

Hi Janey,

the problem is because the custom CSS at your template, make the username field at registration page hidden / gone.
open custom.css at WEB-ROOT/templates/yougrids/css/ at line 450:

li:first-child + li + li {
display: none !important;
}

I don't know what that purpose. if no needed, please take out that CSS or change the rule more specific. So the registration form will not defect by that CSS.

Regards,
Albert

Hi Albertus,

Thanks so much for the quick response!

I should have checked the most obvious thing first since I did a lot of Custom CSS!
