How can I hide status box on the first page (Status, Photo, Video, Event, Custom) ? So I could use Jomsocial to make a blog ... and users would only publish news in profile.
And I also wanted to remove the logo Jomsocial (Get Connected!). Remove the logo and the space

You need to edit this files:

ROOT/components/com_community/templates/default/frontpage.index.php to remove post box
ROOT/components/com_community/templates/default/frontpage.guests.php to remove hero area for guests.

is difficult to know exactly the parts in the code to remove. I want to remove everything (logo and login)

Try to use tool called Firebug (for FireFox) to locate html elements and then look for them in template files.
Take a look on this printscreen: prntscr.com/45gw4j
as you can see element that contains frontend cover and slogans is called: <div class="row-fluid hero-area"> just remove it with content.
