i bought renewal for jomsocial.
Like now , i got jomsocial 3.0.5.1 version. From blog i read that i need to do a tier upgrade.
From the oldest link version, it seems that i must do a tier upgrade only until 3.1.1 version and after that i got 3.1.1 i can install directly the latest version of jomsocial. Is it right?
thanks
In the past i installed jomsocial standard, and after i upgraded to jomsocial pro only by editing some files in order to hide "Powered By Jomsocial".
My site is still off-line so i don't need of keep activity stream or profile information.
Now that i bought again the jomsocial renewal for jomsocial pro, in the ijoomla installed i saw that i can "upgrade" jomsocial standard or install "jomsocial pro" 3.2.1.1 directly.
Which is the best way? If i don't care of past activity stream could i install directly 3.2.1.1 jomsocial pro from ijoomla installer?
Thanks
Yes, you can do direct install via iJoomla installer. And your data stored in JomSocial will be preserved too ;)
Installer will do necessary upgrades in file system in db but not touch your data.

hi, thanks for ur answer.
And if i install jomsocial pro from ijoomla installer, what about plugin and modules inside community folder (tihrd party extension?)
thanks
JomSocial plugins and modules should be updated too.
3rd party plugins and modules (that belongs to other companies and developers) need to be compatible with updated version of jomSocial or they may cause issues.
