Welcome the Technical Support section. Help us in assisting you by providing us with a concise and descriptive elaboration of your issues. Be specific and if possible, provide us with a step-by-step instruction in replicating your problem.
Since the update to 3.2.0.6 most of my links no longer works. They all points to the users wall site.
If i try to open an event, a discussion, etc. this issue happens.
I have corrected the menuitems from jomsocial toolbar menu, but this doesn not help for that issue...
please, can you help to fix this?
btw: The last update to 3.2.0.6 was a disaster! Most parts of the website doesnt work! How can this happen? Merav has posted in the past that you have e great testing process??? It doesnt look like that... :-(
Thanxs god that Magic Mike and the rest of the support staff fixes all the problems!!!
You missed other JomSocial related menu items in all other menus :D
Just perform the same fix for each JomSocial related menu items outside JomSocial toolbar.
This should help for 100% just review all your menus if you didn't omit any item.
This issue is not really related with JomSocial.
When you remove component but leave menu items in menu, Joomla! could not detect component and thus "connection" of menu items with extension will be lost.
Even if you install component again, connection will be not restored as component will gain different ID in system.
Thank you for kind words ;)
We are here to help and solve customers issue. I'm really happy that you appreciate that :D
Merav is right that we evaluated our bug and fix testing process. But to be honest every Joomla! instance is different. We can't predict what customizations was done on user site or what extensions he/she has installed.
Some issues are on our site - that's human factor, we can't avoid but only minimize mistakes. most of issues are in relation of 3rd party extensions.
- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.
- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you
