I just can't get it to work :(

Hi!

I am running a community since some month...I wanted to update this page to:

- latest Joomla
- latest Jomsocial
- latest Tigra

I create Joomla pages since years and i thought I know all this stuff...but I was wrong...I tried since days to upgrade...it was just not possible.

So I decided to install everything from scratch and Import the user data and all the Pictures and stuff...I thought a new Installation must be an easy way to do it...but guess what...I tried everything...and I mean really everything to get it to work...but I failed...I am really stuck here and I would even invest some Money just that this works.

I created a subfolder and a new database but it still didnt work.

Please help me to install latest Joomla and Jomsocial (and maybe if possible the tigra Framework) ...i just want it to look like it is in your demo here: demo.jomsocial.com/demos/

You can use a clean database and a clean subfolder.

I would even pay to get everything working for me...maybe someone knows how to Transfer all the data from the old community...I am just stuck with all of this :(

Old Community:
Joomla 3.2.3
Jomsocial 3.1.1
Theme: yoo master Default
Tigra yoowarpsix

New:
- should be on latest Joomla, Jomsocial, Tigra, (if possible) yoo master 2 theme
- I want to do a fresh clean new Installation and Import the data from the old System later

But it Fails all the time :(

I created a clean joomla test page in a subfolder called "_neu" ...there you can try it....please don't Change anything on the live System ;)
PLEASE rescue me!! ,)

I just installed latest JomSocial 3.2.0.6 on your development site _neu.
I encountered on issues...

So could we try on your live site? Please make a safe copy of files system and database (I recommend Akeeba Backup).
Or set a exact copy on your server.

You haven't described your issue ^^. What exactly is happening? Why you can' upgrade? Are there any error notice?

I also noticed that yous server doesn't meet JomSocial System requirements: max_execution_time = 25 but minimum is 30...

No, we'll not upgrade Tigra :) It's out of scope of our technical support.


- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you

Don't know why we couldnt do it.

I will make a 1:1 copy of my live site in my test Folder so we can try it there.

I wanted to make the page faster so I wanted to do a fresh copy like now on the test page and Import the data...is this also an option and an easy way to Import the data from the live site or is it too complicated?

I will make a 1:1 copy now and let you know when it is ready to test. Thx!

Hi, Martin.

I upgraded JomSocial to latest version :)
The only issue I encountered was after installation of iJoomla Installer... it is not listed on Components list in horizontal menu... but it's accessible via direct link:
index.php?option=com_ijoomlainstaller

Then I just pressed a Upgrade button :D

Joomla! is also in latest version... no issues on the way.

I checked your frontend - no errors. I running smooth :)

I will try this on the live page.

Because Tigra only Support Jomsocial 3.2.0.5 is there a way to install this Version instead of 3.2.0.6?

Can I download the older Version somewhere, uninstall old jomsocial and install 3.2.0.5 ?
