Unable to Post on Friends' Wall (status)

I have confirmed an issue reported by our users, that we are unable to post a comment onto a Friends Wall Status.

Are you able to advise. I have the setting: "Everyone Can Comment" set to 'Yes'. Are there other settings required?

The cause of the above problem appears to have been found! A third-party plugin, unrelated to JomSocial, breaks that functionality.
