Hello, I'm trying to say is that the categories of videos, photos and events
managed from jomsocial, you can activate them from joomla to
to put them in different lenguages.

Hi, Yuditmi.

Yes, you can do that. Please, follow this steps:

1. Browse to: Backend -> Extensions _> Language manager -> Overrides
2. Choose Language for which you want to create translation.
3. Create new override ( + button in upper right corner)
4. Made up a constant for your e.g MY_CONSTANT_FOR_CATEGORY
5. Add translation in text field for that language e.g Category for test
6. Save it
7. Change language and use the same constant but with text in different language

Read here more about language overrides: www.inmotionhosting.com/support/edu/joom...ew-language-override (they work the same way for Joomla! 3.x)

Now you have language constant with translation for different languages.

Browse to Videos or Events or Group categories and use constant as a title of that category so category in backend list will be displayed with name MY_CONSTANT_FOR_CATEGORY.

And that's it. Now when switching languages in frontend category names will be changed.

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you
