Welcome the Technical Support section. Help us in assisting you by providing us with a concise and descriptive elaboration of your issues. Be specific and if possible, provide us with a step-by-step instruction in replicating your problem.
I found out that only having the style css in the override folder won't do it as the icons are drawn by absolute paths.
Do I really have to move the whole template into the override folder?
Create new folder in ROOT/components/com_community/templates
Just copy whole "default" folder and change it name to what fist you (but without non-Latin characters and spaces). This folder should contain all files stored in original "default" folder but you can replace those files by files customized by you.
Then browse to Backen -> JomSocial -> Configuration -> Templates, check your template on the list and click button in upper right corner.
- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.
- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you
I was hoping only to keep the files in the override folder which I am actually overriding - else it leads to confusion when updating - but i guess this is not possible - so please close the ticket, thanks for your prompt reply.
