Hi, Amit.

1. Not quite. Files can be uploaded in Groups but only in Announcements and Discussions (if Group settings allow to share files and in Announcement and Discussion you check "Allow Member to Upload File")

2. As for now only way to share files is as described above. It's because there is no other place where you could do that: activity stream contains activities and statuses - sharing a file as status? It can't be... The same is for walls. So only place is in group which have discussions that are closer to forum.

3. File is attached to Announcement not to a group - that is why file is shown only in Announcements... they are not related (directly) to Group but to Announcement.

4. No, as for now you can't do that.

5. You can't do that out-of-the-box. You'll need to customize files to show Announcements create button only for Group owner.

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you
