as in title there is a way to have a text field like the j3 module position selector? (in attachment)
basically is a text field (you can type what you want) but there is a select with some default choices

in joomla backend/modules->click on a module
on the right you will see the dropdown menu for set the module position.
But this dropdown isnt a <select> because you can set a value not present in the list too.
I would do that for a registration field.

You cant put the module inside jomsocial registration field, becuase we dont have the position..
