We have just updated to JomSocial 3.2.01 on Joomla 3.3. Since doing so we have had a number of issues, as seen in previous posts.

It has just been reported that the Registration process is not working with SEF urls turned on.

I WAS able to register with SEF off. With SEF on, after the first page, the sign up does not progress to page 2, but immediately goes back to Home.

Are you able to Check and address this, as we use SEF for this site.

Thanks,
Geoff

hi geoff.

I just registered on your site without any problem with SEF enabled, maybe you could try to clear cookies and cache of your browser? Or maybe I'm missing something?

Hi, Geoff.

Fixed. Again, "register" menu item is related with JomSocial. Efter upgrade it "lost contact" with component indicating that Component JomSocial doesn't exist. I fixed it with editing menu item (haven't change anything) and saved. I enabled canonical URLs and registration works as gold :)

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you

Hi Chris, Ok I see you have sef with .html extension. We usually have no extension. However, I just tried and was able to progress to page 2 of sign up. I'll try again with SEF (no extension) in a moment.

However, on page 2 - your details from your sign up are in my fields!

That must be a bug?

Hi Michael, Ok thanks for that fix!

BTW -- I saw your details in my signup fields when I just went to do a test.
What caching problem would cause that?

Hi, Geoff.

I disabled caching in Joomla! but it seems that caching is still on somehow.
In cache are still some cached files... this is Joomla! issue and we can't help you with that.
You'll need to ask on Joomla! forum: forum.joomla.org/ or ask Joomla! developer for help.
I wonder if it has something to do with template and gzip. Maybe also try to disable gzip in template.

Ok I'll see if it persists. Thanks again to you and Chris for your help with this.
