hello, i am using Gavick) template and not jomsocial and i was told when i do the upgrade nothing will change, we did not modify anything, all we did is upgrade and the site stopped working. my question is it normal that the site will not come up after an upgrade or do i have to reinstall the template, which we have a lot of modification on it. i was under the impression that once we upgrade all will work find with the new version. please let me know.

can you try to reinstall jomsocial.. don't use ijoomla installer but download jomsocial installer from "My Account" page, extract that file and upload com_community_3.2.0.5 file from joomla extensions manager.. Don't forget make a backup if that is on your live site..
we can't say this is normal or not.. the normal situation is if you successful upgrade jomsocial, there is no error.. but this situation can be changed if you are using 3rd party template or plugins, maybe those 3rd party things, incompatible or need to be upgrade to sync with jomsocial new code..

hello. that what i did and then it asked me to click on a button to complete the installation, which i was able to do earlier today, but now it is hanging during the installation process, only when i hit refresh the blue bar moves, i have to hit the refresh button few times before the intsallation is complete, is that normal or it should run the install without having to click refresh. is there a way you guys can install it and try. if you go to our admin page now and click on jomsocial you will see what i am talking about. if you can then please let me know and i am hold the install from my end and let you guys try it.

ok, i will try to help you reinstall jomsocial.. is it okay if you lose all customization or maybe some error on your dev site after installation (i hope this is not happen) ? Already had a backup ?

i already installed jomsocial into your backend and seems there are some issue with your template and jomsocial core.. maybe you can provide me CPanel access or FTP access? so i can inspect directly into your file.. :)
Cpanel access is better because i can directly check the file using edit code :D
