hi, that's my situation:
i have a community with another social component, now i'm changing to jomsocial.
Since jomsocial has its own point system i'm wondering if it fits my needs or i have to buy the AUP jomsocial rules extension. The top users will win some gifts, so i need a serious and reliable points count system.

My users earn points when:
- upload a photo or video
- other users click on their LIKE button in profile page
- invite a friend (using ParaInvite) and that one join in on the site

meanwhile what I need is a complete points statistics and history for each user.

does jomsocial allow all that?

For getting the default user points rule from Jomsocial you can access user points configuration administrator/index.php?option=com_community&view=userpoints, but if you want add new point configuration, you need create new rule for it, for more information you can read here documentation.jomsocial.com/wiki/User_Points_System

there isnt a default rule for the user who click on LIKE button on a profile? the user who GET the like should earn X points

You can check in edit profile in Jomsocial backend, there is field to show the user points there.. or you install module top members, you can see the top of earned points with it.

We already have the like rule, you can check it in "user points" setting in backend, the default point is 1..
