JomSocial Expired

Hi
I have seen two problems or Bugs in JomSocial

1)INSTALLATION
It seems that Jomsocial Installer, does not report or does not check, if all files were able to be uploaded or uncompressed correctly

I remember I reported this in this post
www.jomsocial.com/forum/technical-issues...ter-template-upgrade
And I remember, you solved this issue, in a later version, after that
But now, latest JomSocial Version, go back to same problem, and does not check is all files were uploaded correctly

EVENTS
Before, Jomsocial, were hiding past events automatically
With Latest Jomsocial Version, The module for latest Events, is showing past events
Also the Events page, is showing past events

Not only that, module is not showing latest events in fisrt place, is showing oldest events first, So, If I have 4 upcoming events, and 4 past events, and my module is showing only 4 events, it will show me only the past events

Please check this bugs

Thanks

Hi, Ivan.

1. What method did you use to upgrade JomSocial?

2. No, everything is fine. Just check dates of events. Yes, they maybe started e.g 1 March but they are ongoing till June :) Ad they are marked "Ongoing". So they are actual not passed.

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

1) Joomla installer - Uploading file
Installer does not report if all files were succesfully unziped, But I just fix permissions of folder and files, before running installer, and this way, all goes well, but I think installer should report when some files were not uncompressed correctly (just like joomla update does it)

2) In my homepage, I have the Event's module showing latest 3 events, and you can see:
MAR 01
MAY 12
MAY 12

The 3 of they, already passed

In another joomla site I have, past events are not showing

So, how can I fix this, for my support site for jomsocial, to be as is was before, and as it is in my other sites?

Hi, Ivan.

1. There was bug in Ijoomla Installer so you need to update it using zipfrom latest JomSocial package.

2. No, those events are not passed but ONGOING. Please notice:

So all of them are ACTIVE Events and module displays them correctly.

Hi
1) Thanks for the updtate

2) ok, now I see, but
How can I sort events, so latest added, appear in first place

Because, in this way, newest events may never show up, in the latest event module

Thanks

Hi, Ivan.

You can't do it out of the box. You'll need to change the way events are sorted... well, the best solution will be to write a SQL query and sort events by creation date and not start date.
You'll need developers help to achieve it: www.jomsocial.com/jomsocial-developers
