Hi,
when a user replied to a status, this is counted.

Szenario:
User leave comment Box Filed empty and clicks just the Post comment Button. After refreshing the site this emtpy comment ist counted!

I tested it here at the jomsocial Community Site: www.jomsocial.com/community/99973-karl-stoeckl/profile

I think there should be an validation for empty replies to preventing wrong counts.

Yes this is a bug.. i will pass this to our developer and maybe they can provide a quick fix for this and i will let you know if there is a quick fix available for this :)
