JomSocial Expired

Hi,

I am getting a following error when trying to access my Joomla Administrator:

Warning: file_put_contents(/administrator/components/com_community/jomsocialupdate.ini): failed to open stream: Permission denied in libraries/joomla/filesystem/file.php on line 431

Does this have something to do with the fact that the domain I am uploading this to is not the one I have assigned this Jomsocial license to? It is at the moment on a test domain.

Thanks for your help?

Hi, Juho.

This is hosting issue.

You need to check your folder permissions:

Login to Administrator panel
Select Help > System info from top menu
Select tab Directory Permissions, all folders listed here need to have 'Writable' permissions.

If any of those folders are Unwritable, login to your server with ftp client, or cPanel, and change folder's CHMOD permissions to 755.

If that doesn't help - contact with your hosting provider.

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you
