Thanks Chris. That was the issue. However, the community page looks a bit disfigured... Is that some kind of javascript conflict? Also, Jomsocial connect is not working - popup modal loads only partially.

Sorry Chris - Jomsocial connect was disabled after the upgrade - enabling it fixed part of the problem. However, it doesn't complete the process of logging in, but redirects to Joomla login page. this is a separate issue so I can post it in a new post if you want.
