I want to upgrade jomsocial plugin 3.1.1 to 3.2.0.3. I have followed all the steps which is mention in your documentation.

Starting the Upgrade

Uninstall the older JomSocial version by going to Extensions > Extensions Manager, select Manage, select JomSocial/Community, click Uninstall.

Install the latest JomSocial 3.1[/b]--- Do we need to buy latest version or it will update automatically with previous version.



But not able to upgrade.

Query:- Can you please let me know that, I need to buy new version of 3.2.0.3 to install or it will automatically upgrade 3.1.1.

Please suggests me simple step, So that I can upgrade my current version.

Hi szenenight,
If you have already JS 3.1.1 then no need to uninstall existing one.
Just download the latest version from our download section and re install from extension manager and it's done.

Yes Ashraf, I have done same but during installation at final steps it gives the error:-

Warning
JLIB_FILESYSTEM_ERROR_COPY_FAILED

JLIB_INSTALLER_ERROR_FAIL_COPY_FILE

Message
Error during component installation.

Please suggests.

Sorry for the delay.
I am experiencing login failed at your site admin panel.
and so far it seems you are using joomla below 2.5.X
If it is then you mast upgrade your joomla version at least 2.5.X then need to upgrade the jomsocial with latest package.

no problem, the problem was on dev site - but we fixed it
